I Don’t Really Like The Color Pink: MomDot’s Small Talk Six

It’s time, once again, for Small talk Six! On Saturdays presented by MomDot.com. Today’s topic is “6 of your favorite things that are pink“. You can answer this with a list of 6 words, 6 phrases, 6 sentences. 6 paragraphs, 6 photos, 6 videos, etc…

OK, pink IS NOT my favorite color by any stretch of the imagination. I’m a purple girl. Duh, can’t you tell by my bloggy design? And I was further put off by the color pink when The Diva was a baby. Why, you ask? Well because everyone in my Husband’s family bought her pink clothes, despite our requests that they pick a different color. And they never give gift receipts. EVER. I would end up with 3 or more loads of purely pink clothing. It was ridiculous! Why is it that people think baby girls can only wear pink? How about a soft green or blue or lavender? ANYTHING but pink!!

Alright, I had to get creative here….

1) Strawberry Yoplait yogurt. The only kind I will eat.

2) My wedding gown. Yes, it was a very pale pink with beautiful white lace and sequins. I saw the picture of it in a bridal magazine years before I got married and that was it for me. If I could have found an equally beautiful dress in lavender, I would have gotten it. But the ones I did find just reminded me of an Easter egg. It was very sad.

3) The Diva’s rosy cheeks

4) That shade of pink {and azure blue & purple} the sky gets when the sun is setting after a rainstorm and it is reflecting off the clouds

5) The potted Asian Lilies I have on my patio that I hope will bloom this Spring

6) The pink inside of a of a tasty medium rare steak.
