Just Another Wordless Wednesady…{The Day The Music Died}
Thirty years ago today, that psychotic whack job piece of shit murderer, Mark David Chapman, forever extinguished the greatest musical voice of our generation. On December 8, 1980, John Lennon was shot dead in front of his New York City home.
It was The Day The Music Died.
I was nine years old and I felt the loss. I always felt that I came of age in the wrong decade. Although the 80′s weren’t terrible. I have always loved The Beatles’ music. And John Lennon. {Yoko can go fly a kite, as far as I’m concerned}
This is my favorite song and a fitting tribute to John and his contribution to this world. There are so many songs I love, but In My Life, Yesterday and Strawberry Fields have to be my top 3.
And honestly, where would music be today if not for influences like The Beatles? Think about it.

Love In my life and Empty Garden. Two of my all time favorite songs. My kids love them just the same. They were my first cds ever Elton and John I still have them both and will be flying over with me on my plane to Germany. Would hate to lose them.
