Today’s Post Is Brought To You By The Letter D

December 12, 2008 by Shan 11 Comments

Jeannie tagged me…OK, I asked for it, but sheesh I have been wanting to do at least one of these memes…

So I have to list 10 words that start with the letter D…

  1. Daft~~British slang word meaning stupid. For example…”You daft prick!! Don’t you know Camilla is part horse??”
  2. Devolution~~The act or fact of devolving. The devolution of Middle aged men usually happens after taking a Viagra & having a slutty woman smile at them (hint: she’s smiling because she’s a stripper & wants your $. Or she needs a Sugar Daddy…and you are just stupid enough to do it. Daft prick!) .
  3. Deano~~As in Dean Martin. I love his songs. I love all the crooners (Harry Connick, Michael Buble, Sinatra, etc.). That kind of jazz/crooner mix always reminds me of Autumn & Winter. I have no idea why. Or Dino, the Flintstones’ dog…er lizard…er pterodactyl..er dinosaur.
  4. Dyson~~The vacuum I want but can’t afford.
  5. Dickhead~~ See #2.
  6. Dylan Thomas~~My favorite poet.
  7. Discombobulated~~To become confused. I thought being a stay~at~home~Mom was supposed to be easy…I find myself so discombobulated most days that I don’t know whether to wind my butt or scratch my watch!
  8. The Duggars~~Is that poor woman ever going to stop having kids??
  9. Djibouti (pronounced jabooty)~~As in “What is the capital of Djibouti? Djibouti.” HA! Thought I didn’t know that one, huh?!
  10. Dooce.com~~And exactly why is she the “Queen of the Mommy Bloggers”? I still have yet to figure that one out! But I would like to find out how to make 1/10 of what she makes per month off her blog!

OK I did it. If you want a letter, let me know by leaving a comment. Be creative!

Oh! And that duct tape thingy wasn’t an award. It was cool on someone else’s blog (of course!) and I was ticked off at Thomas at the time and it matched my mood. So I swiped it (of course!). So yeah, feel free to swipe it too!

Those Duggers…makes me delirious with doubt about decisions they deem dastardly. I don’t dare do dat. I’d be dead. Deuce ducklings done… Translation: If I had any more than two kids I’d be dead. Stop having kids Duggers!!!

Ooh hey, nice blog, I was just floating around blogcatalog…

That was very funny ๐Ÿ™‚ just a note though, UKians don’t tend to say ‘prick’ that is American slang ๐Ÿ™‚ we’d say ‘you daft dickhead’ probably LOL!

(Julia sounds like V from V for Vendetta, she could do a spin-off, D for Dafty)

#8 made me laugh. LOL! I live by them. They shop at the same Sam's Club we used to shop at, where my good girlfriend works. They are so nice. Their kids are polite and super sweet.
