A New Feature Here At The Asylum
UPDATE: Shan’s Wordle Wednesdays will now be Shan’s Week~End Wordles starting Saturday, March 7, 2009
Starting this week, we {I do have voices, you know…} will be hosting Shan’s Wordle Wednesdays {NOW UPDATED to Shan’s Week~End Wordles}.
Not sure what this is? Then go here to see mine.
Wordles are completely customizable with colors {you can choose your own, or use their palettes}, layouts and fonts. You can put in your blog URL or just type in some random words to see what you get.
Shan’s Wordle Wednesday participation suggestions/instructions:
1) Download MWSnap so that you can have a good size image on your blog post. The link the Wordle site gives you as a picture of your creation is very small. The site suggests making a screenshot for a larger image. I tried this, but it only gave me a blank image. A good friend suggested MWSnap which worked like a charm AND you can choose exactly what you want it to “snap” for you, just make sure you click the button that says “snap any area”. {This is optional if you have another program that will do the same thing}
2) Go to Wordle.net to create your Wordle. {I use this color code chart to completely customize mine}
3) Post it on your blog with a link to Shan’s Wordle Wednesdays {now updated to Shan’s Week~End Wordles} or Last Shreds Of Sanity
4) Come back here to the Shan’s Week~End Wordles post for that week and sign the Mr. Linky. Please leave a comment as well. I love comments.
5) Grab one of our buttons:

In a way I had the idea first… but not necessarily with everyone participating. For the past month or so I’ve included a wordle of my post at the bottom of each post.
BUT I think that having it as a thing for everyone to do is a cool idea. : )
