Don Quixote’s Windmills
I can sort of see why Don Quixote thought these were giants who needed to be eradicated – in a sort of delusional, out of his mind way. I actually think they are beautiful. But drunk on Spanish wine and suffering from what was likely paranoid schizophrenia, I can see how the mistake could be made.
Don Quixote is one of my favorite novels. I just love the imagery, fantastical and message of the book. Do you think The Diva is too young for it at six?
I thought the whole fan theme of NaBloPoMo actually works well with windmills. They are pretty much giant fans, after all.

I teach Spanish and Don Quixote has always been one of my favorite novels. I even studied Cervantes with an NEH grant at Whitman College in Walla Walla, WA one summer. The windmill story is my favorite.

It is a great novel. And yes, the windmill story is my favorite as well. I need to read it again this Summer.
i think that she’s a little young, maybe wait until she begins to appreciate the effect of wine on men in shinning armor 🙂
What? There’s no PC version of Don Quixote yet? LMAO
