What Do You Mean, Relax?: Small Talk Six
Today’s topic is “6 things you do, used to do, or would like to do to relax.“. You can answer this with a list of 6 words, 6 phrases, 6 sentences, 6 paragraphs, 6 photos, 6 videos, etc…
Relax? What is this strange thing you are speaking of? I have never heard of this “relax”…
1) I used to read books. And magazines. And anything I could get my hands on. Now I have stacks of them, placed lovingly with the best of intentions, waiting to be read.
2) I used to sleep any time I wanted, now I must wait for The Diva to take a nap, which is rare. I miss my sleep.
3) I used to do crafts. Now I buy the supplies and they sit, waiting for me to have the time and energy to complete them.
4) I used to just get in the car and drive. To the beach. To the mountains…just to think and clear my head. Kind of hard to do with a preschooler in the car with me.
5) I want to take a nice family vacation. I want to be someplace beautiful. A serene beach, a semi-secluded island, a mountain cabin in the snow. Anywhere but here. No phones. No chores. No worries about money.
6)
I want to just be somewhere quiet and peaceful, where I can hear my own thoughts without being interrupted.Category: Memes
Yes I'm with you on the crafts one. I'm in the process of making a paper mache dinosaur for my daughter's birthday.
It's funny how everything on your list is either in the past or future tense. I know the feeling. It's hard to get some time to relax.
You need to make it a point to get some “me” time in quick…everyone needs it at least once in a while. I love your tag line, mine should be just the opposite. If my soon doesn't get this tween thing together soon, I'm going to need therapy!
I use to love to do crafts too- way before I had kids.
Have a great Saturday!

I too wish I could have a quiet place – actually don't we all! LOL Or to even go to the bathroom without having a conversation about toys, school etc!
I'm with you on the whole list! A vacation s sounds so good!
amen to number 6
You make me feel better. I thought that I was the only one with stacks of magazines to read. I just wont throw them away. I have been getting a little time in lately since the baby is finally becoming more detached from the hip.
